[pt] Esta tese de doutorado analisa as narrativas de mulheres que vivenciaram situações de violência doméstica e de gênero acolhidas pelo Movimento de Mulheres de São Gonçalo (MMSG), localizado na região metropolitana do Rio de Janeiro. O foco da pesquisa recai sobre o momento da acolhida pelo movimento e as formas como esse processo influenciou e possibilitou continuidades em suas vidas, num percurso de resistência e reconstrução identitária. A geração dos dados se deu a partir de uma abordagem etnográfica e participativa, em que a gravação das interações de um grupo reflexivo foram o principal instrumento de produção de material empírico. As interações foram transcritas e analisadas a partir da Análise da Narrativa, que permite compreender como as histórias de vida são organizadas, comunicadas e investidas de sentido. A análise se apoia teoricamente também nos conceitos de Goffman (2009) e na construção coletiva de identidades (Bastos, 2005; Bastos e Biar, 2015), entendendo que os sujeitos se constituem na linguagem e por meio de interações sociais. As narrativas das mulheres participantes mostram como as experiências de violência podem se articular a processos de silenciamento, vergonha e subalternização social, mas também revelam caminhos de resistência e reexistência. O momento da acolhida pelo MMSG emerge como um ponto de inflexão na trajetória das colaboradoras, pois oferece uma escuta qualificada, suporte emocional e orientação jurídica e social. Nesse espaço de acolhimento, as mulheres se reapropriam de suas histórias e encontram, por meio da linguagem e da partilha, condições de reconstruir suas subjetividades e questionar os discursos hegemônicos que as deslegitimam. Inspirada em autoras como bell hooks (1989) e Stuart Hall (2003), a proposta é observar criticamente a lógica da subalternização e interpretar deslocamentos nos sentidos cristalizados sobre o que é ser mulher em situação de violência. O MMSG, nesse contexto, aponta para uma potência coletiva que não apenas acolhe, mas também potencializa subjetividades em luta, permitindo que o trauma e a dor se transformem em força e ação política. A tese, portanto, contribui para o campo dos estudos de gênero, das violências e da produção de subjetividades, evidenciando o poder transformador da linguagem e da escuta coletiva como ferramentas de justiça e emancipação

[en] This doctoral thesis analyzes the narratives of women who have experienced situations of domestic and gender-based violence and were supported by the Women s Movement of São Gonçalo (MMSG), located in the metropolitan region of Rio de Janeiro. The research focuses on the moment of being welcomed by the movement and how this process influenced and enabled continuities in their lives, following a path of resistance and identity reconstruction. Data generation was based on an ethnographic and participatory approach, using interviews as the main tool for listening and producing empirical material. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed through Narrative Analysis, which allows for understanding how life stories are organized, communicated, and invested with meaning. This analysis is theoretically grounded in the concepts of Goffman, (2009) and the collective construction of identities (Bastos, 2005; Bastos e Biar, 2015), understanding that subjects are constituted in language and through social interactions. The recorded narratives demonstrate how experiences of violence can intertwine with processes of silencing, shame, and social subalternization, but also reveal paths of resistance and reexistence. The moment of being welcomed by the MMSG emerges as a turning point in the participants trajectories, as it provides qualified listening, emotional support, and legal and social guidance. In this welcoming space, women reappropriate their stories and, through language and sharing, find the conditions to reconstruct their subjectivities and question the hegemonic discourses that delegitimize them. The research is based on the premise that giving visibility to these narratives is not about giving voice, but rather making these voices resonate socially, contributing to the deconstruction of dominant discourses that naturalize violence and perpetuate inequalities. Inspired by authors such as bell hooks (1989) and Stuart Hall (2003), the aim is to critically observe the logic of subalternization and interpret shifts in crystallized meanings of what it means to be a woman in a context of violence. Thus, this work is committed to a critical and engaged analysis of how female identities are constructed in contexts of vulnerability and how these constructions can confront oppressive structures through narrative practices of resistance. In this context, the MMSG points to a collective force that not only offers support but also empowers subjectivities in struggle, allowing trauma and pain to be transformed into strength and political action. The thesis, therefore, contributes to the fields of gender studies, violence, and the production of subjectivities, highlighting the transformative power of language and collective listening as tools of justice and emancipation.
