[pt] O artigo analisa a recepção e o desenvolvimento teológico do Credo Niceno no Ocidente latino, a partir da reflexão de três autores fundamentais: Mário Vitorino, Ambrósio de Milão e Agostinho de Hipona. A autora evidencia como o termo homoousios, central na definição cristológica de Niceia (325), foi progressivamente interpretado como expressão da comunhão vital entre o Pai e o Filho, com implicações diretas para a teologia dos sacramentos, da Igreja e da vida espiritual. Em Mário Vitorino, o homoousios assume valor mistagógico, ligando a ousia divina à Eucaristia e à comunidade dos crentes; em Ambrósio, torna-se profissão de fé e canto eclesial; em Agostinho, transforma-se em via de compreensão interior do mistério trinitário, na tensão entre crer e compreender. Assim, o estudo mostra que a recepção do Concílio de Niceia no Ocidente não se limitou a uma questão terminológica, mas constituiu uma verdadeira pedagogia da fé, na qual credere, intelligere, praedicare et laudare formam um todo inseparável.

[en] The article analyzes the reception and theological development of the Nicene Creed in the Latin West, based on the reflections of three key authors: Marius Victorinus, Ambrose of Milan, and Augustine of Hippo. The author highlights how the term homoousios, central to the Christological definition of Nicaea (325), was progressively interpreted as an expression of the vital communion between the Father and the Son, with direct implications for the theology of the sacraments, the Church, and spiritual life. In Mário Vitorino, homoousios takes on a mystagogical value, linking the divine ousia to the Eucharist and the community of believers; in Ambrose, it becomes a profession of faith and ecclesial song; in Augustine, it becomes a way of understanding the Trinitarian mystery from within, in the tension between believing and understanding. Thus, the study shows that the reception of the Council of Nicaea in the West was not limited to a terminological issue, but constituted a true pedagogy of faith, in which credere, intelligere, praedicare et laudare form an inseparable whole.

[de] Der Beitrag untersucht die Rezeption und theologische Weiterentwicklung des Nicaenischen Glaubensbekenntnisses im lateinischen Westen anhand dreier maBgeblicher Autoren: Marius Victorinus, Ambrosius von Mailand und Augustinus von Hippo. Die Autorin zeigt, wie der Ausdruck homoousios, der fur das christologische Bekenntnis von Nicaa (325) zentral ist, im Westen als Ausdruck der lebendigen Gemeinschaft zwischen Vater und Sohn verstanden wurde - mit unmittelbaren Konsequenzen fur Sakramententheologie, Ekklesiologie und Spiritualitat. Bei Marius Victorinus erhält das homoousios eine mystagogische Bedeutung, die die gottliche ousia mit Eucharistie und Gemeinde verbindet; bei Ambrosius wird es zum Glaubensbekenntnis und kirchlichen Gesang; bei Augustinus wird es zum Weg des inneren Verstehens des trinitarischen Geheimnisses im Spannungsfeld von Glauben und Erkenntnis. Die Untersuchung macht deutlich, dass die Rezeption des Konzils von Nicaa im Westen keine bloBe terminologische Frage war, sondern eine geistliche Padagogik des Glaubens, in der credere, intelligere, praedicare et laudare eine untrennbare Einheit bilden.
