[pt] Propõe-se uma reflexão sobre a escrita etnográfica como experimentação narrativa, em que o fazer etnográfico é motor e controle da escrita. A partir de um relato de uma experiência com os Suruwaha, exploram-se itinerários e temporalidades na construção de uma narrativa etnográfica, concebida como efeito das relações entre antropólogo e interlocutores. Trata-se de pensar a etnografia como prática narrativa que dá forma à complexidade dos encontros. Assim, considerando os efeitos da alteridade no fazer antropológico e literário, aproximo-me de concepções que entendem a etnografia como ficção controlada ou antropologia especulativa.

[en] This work proposes a reflection on ethnographic writing as narrative experimentation, in which ethnographic practice serves as both the driving force and the regulator of the writing process. Based on an account of an experience with the Suruwaha, it explores itineraries and temporalities in the construction of an ethnographic narrative, conceived as an effect of the relationships between the anthropologist and their interlocutors. The aim is to consider ethnography as a narrative practice that gives form to the complexity of encounters. Thus, taking into account the effects of alterity on both anthropological and literary practice, I draw closer to conceptions that understand ethnography as controlled fiction or speculative anthropology.
