[pt] Apresentamos aqui uma tradução comentada do primeiro canto do Ayvu Rapyta, da cosmologia Guarani Mbyá. Depois de um cuidadoso exame de outras traduções e versões desse texto da tradição viva dos Guarani Mbyá, assinadas por indígenas e não-indígenas, propomos também um estudo filológico do texto-fonte tal como publicado pela primeira vez (CADOGAN, 2015), abordando suas dimensões morfossintáticas e estéticas, e sempre levando em consideração trabalhos etnográficos e antropológicos que nos auxiliem a compreender como os aspectos semânticos e culturais se entrelaçam na estrutura textual. A tradução se torna assim ela mesma uma forma literária e antropológica de pensar, e vem acompanhada de uma anotação extensa, que pode proporcionar aos leitores interessados um convívio mais demorado com aspectos linguísticos importantes para a compreensão aprofundada do texto-fonte, que também é apresentado aqui para cotejo. Esperamos este trabalho seja assim um convite a se pensar a complexidade da cosmologia guarani mbyá e quiçá de outras cosmologias indígenas, e o quanto ela(s) se contrapõe(m) ao pensamento euro-ocidental que nos formou.

[en] This is an annotated translation of the first canto of Ayvu Rapyta, from Guarani Mbyá cosmology. After carefully examining other translations and versions of this text from the living tradition of the Guarani Mbyá, signed by indigenous and non-indigenous authors, we propose a translation accompanied by philological study of the original text as first published (CADOGAN, 2015), in its morphosyntactic and aesthetic dimensions, always considering ethnographic and anthropological works that help us understand the intertwining of semantic and cultural aspects in the text shape. The translation thus becomes a literary and anthropological way of thinking, and is always accompanied by extensive annotations, which can provide interested readers with a more prolonged engagement with linguistic aspects that are important for a deeper understanding of the original text, which is also presented here for comparison. We hope that this will be an invitation to think about the complexity of Guarani Mbyá cosmology and maybe of other indigenous cosmologies, and how much they contrast with the Euro-Western thinking that has shaped ourselves.
