[pt] O tema da fragilidade humana e a busca por sentido estão no centro mesmo do viver de cada pessoa. A presente dissertação tem por objetivo desenvolver o conceito de espiritualidade da fragilidade a partir da teologia de Henri Nouwen, buscando responder os desafios contemporâneos da modernidade e a crise da experiência humana diante da vulnerabilidade. Para tanto, assume como sendo caminho fundamental o acolhimento da condição humana de fragilidade para retomar o caminho de sentido e plenitude. Parte-se da constatação de que a cultura atual tende a negar a fragilidade, associando-a à fraqueza e à inutilidade. O estudo propõe o contrário, acolher a própria condição de fragilidade é caminho de humanização e sentido, sendo meio para um viver compassivo e solidário. A pesquisa adota uma abordagem teológico-pastoral com base em revisão bibliográfica das principais obras de Nouwen, buscando compreender como sua experiência pessoal e sua reflexão teológica contribuem para ressignificar a fragilidade à luz da espiritualidade encarnada. Desse modo, fez o percurso pela espiritualidade cristã como caminho para elucidar o tema e conduzir para a proposta de uma espiritualidade da fragilidade. A dissertação está organizada em quatro capítulos de desenvolvimento: no segundo capítulo é realizada a apresentação da negação da fragilidade no tempo presente; no terceiro se encontra o panorama biográfico de Henri Nouwen; no quarto é realizada a análise de seu percurso de vida a partir de alguns de seus Diários; e no quinto são apresentadas às bases da espiritualidade nouweniana e a proposta de uma espiritualidade da fragilidade, como resposta profética e profundamente humana às angústias contemporâneas. Desse modo, a tese revela a força presente na vulnerabilidade humana e a centralidade do amor como caminho teológico e existencial.

[en] The theme of human fragility and the search for meaning lie at the very heart of each person s life. This dissertation aims to develop the concept of the spirituality of fragility based on the theology of Henri Nouwen, seeking to respond to the contemporary challenges of modernity and the crisis of human experience in the face of vulnerability. It assumes as a fundamental path the acceptance of the human condition of fragility in order to recover a path toward meaning and fullness.It begins with the observation that current culture tends to deny fragility, associating it with weakness and uselessness. This study proposes that, on the contrary, embracing one’s own condition of fragility is a path to humanization and meaning, serving as a way to live compassionately and in solidarity. The research adopts a theological-pastoral approach based on a bibliographic review of Nouwen’s main works, aiming to understand how his personal experience and theological reflection contribute to re-signifying fragility in the light of embodied spirituality. It follows a path through Christian spirituality as a means to elucidate the theme and lead toward the proposal of a spirituality of fragility. The structure of the work is organized into four chapters that contextualize the crisis of modernity, followed by a biographical overview of Henri Nouwen and the accounts from his journals, and then presents the foundations of Nouwenian spirituality and proposes a dialogue with pastoral practice. The conclusion is that the spirituality of fragility offers a prophetic and deeply human response to contemporary anxieties, revealing the strength found in vulnerability and the centrality of love as both a theological and existential path.
