papel diante das mudanças bruscas da modernidade é tarefa urgente dos sociólogos. O objetivo deste texto é
justamente provocar os leitores a refletir sobre o lugar da sociologia na Academia e nas ciências como um todo, assim
como a natureza de sua produção e o que a faz específica.
Resumo
[en] The rapid pace of social transformations makes sociology increasingly necessary in the world; therefore, rethinking its role in the face of the abrupt changes of modernity is an urgent task for sociologists. The aim of this text is precisely to provoke readers to reflect on the place of sociology within academia and the sciences as a whole, as well as the nature of its production and what makes it distinctive.
