[pt] O artigo explora o refúgio LGBTI+ por meio das vivências de quatro refugiados venezuelanos em Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul. A partir da realização de pesquisa de campo, utilizando metodologia qualitativa e participativa, e de entrevistas semiestruturadas, analisamos as motivações, a travessia e o acolhimento desses quatro refugiados, destacando-se que o exílio sofrido por eles começou a ocorrer mesmo antes da migração. Concluímos que a homotransfobia persiste ao longo do deslocamento e no destino, inclusive a advinda de seus conterrâneos. Contudo, a partir de suas falas, pode-se dizer que no Brasil, comparado à Venezuela, há maior possibilidade de expressão de suas identidades.

[en] The article investigates LGBTI+ refuge through the lived experiences of four Venezuelan refugees in Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul. Employing a qualitative and participatory methodology, including semi structured interviews and field research, the study examines their motivations, migratory journey, and reception, revealing that their exile commenced even prior to migration. Findings indicate that homotransphobia persists throughout displacement and in the host country, including discrimination from fellow nationals. Nevertheless, their narratives suggest that Brazil, compared to Venezuela, provides greater opportunities for the expression of their identities.
