[en] The article deals with the transits and migratory routes deployed from the displacement of people from West Africa who cross South and Central American territories to the United States.From a transnational and multi situated perspective, it describes the different stages of transit that migrants must experience, exploring the types of violence suffered, as well as the possible forms of resistance. A first hypothesis is that the migrations of Africans along this route constitute mobility strategies resulting from the increased danger of travel along the Mediterranean and Sahara routes towards Europe.

[es] El artículo aborda los tránsitos y rutas migratorias desplegadas a partir del desplazamiento de personas provenientes de África Occidental que atraviesan territorios sudamericanos y centroamericanos con destino a Estados Unidos. Desde una perspectiva transnacional y multisituada, se describen las distintas etapas del tránsito que las personas migrantes deben experimentar, explorando los tipos de violencias sufridas, así como las formas de resistencia posibles. Una primera hipótesis es que las migraciones de personas africanas por esta ruta constituyen estrategias de movilidad resultantes de la mayor peligrosidad que adquirieron los desplazamientos por las rutas del Mediterráneo y el Sahara en dirección a Europa.
