[pt] Por ocasião dos 70 anos do Departamento de Ciências Sociais da PUC Rio, foi proposta uma homenagem especial a
um dos fundadores: Padre Fernando Bastos de Ávila, jesuíta e primeiro assessor doutrinário da Associação de
Dirigentes Cristãos de Empresa (ADCE). O relançamento do livro Solidarismo apresenta uma proposta ética para a
economia e o sistema social, que busca superar o individualismo e a luta de classes por meio de uma economia
centrada na dignidade humana, baseado na Doutrina Social da Igreja.
Resumo
[en] As part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Department of Social Sciences at PUC-Rio, a special tribute has been proposed to one of its founders: Father Fernando Bastos de Ávila, a Jesuit and the first doctrinal advisor to ADCE (Association of Christian Business Leaders), the Brazilian branch of UNIAPAC (The International Christian Union of Business Executives). The reissue of the book Solidarismo puts forward an ethical proposal for the economy and the social system, aiming to overcome individualism and class struggle through a human dignity-centered economic model, grounded in the Social Doctrine of the Church.
