[pt] A presente dissertação investiga a tradução de histórias em quadrinhos brasileiras em países de língua alemã. O estudo se servirá de desenvolvimentos da teoria dos campos na sociologia da tradução. Sob essa ótica, pretende-se analisar a história da tradução de quadrinhos brasileiros para o alemão, reunindo a bibliografia completa de HQs nacionais publicadas em língua alemã. As circunstâncias de cada publicação serão analisadas caso a caso, considerando os aspectos sociológicos e sobretudo os agentes envolvidos no processo, com destaque para a recente atuação de Lea Hubner, tradutora de cinco quadrinhos brasileiros traduzidos para o alemão. Além disso, busco explorar considerações teóricas sobre a tradução de histórias em quadrinhos, principalmente pela ótica da multimodalidade, levando em conta os aspectos visuais que influenciam a tradução linguística, assim como a dimensão visual que o texto escrito assume nos quadrinhos na forma de balões de fala, recordatórios, inscrições na imagem e onomatopeias. A elaboração teórica servirá à análise das cinco traduções de Hubner. O foco da análise será a dimensão visual da tradução de quadrinhos, como a tradução (ou não) de onomatopeias e inscrições, fontes escolhidas para o texto escrito e casos nos quais a imagem tem influência direta nas escolhas tradutórias.

[en] This work investigates the translation of Brazilian comics in German-speaking countries. The study will draw on developments from the field theory in the sociology of translation. From this perspective, the purpose is to analyze the history of the translation of Brazilian comics into German, gathering the complete bibliography of Brazilian comics published in German. The circumstances of each publication will be analyzed on a case-by-case basis, considering the sociologicalaspects and, above all, the agents involved in the process, with emphasis on therecent work of Lea Hubner, translator of five Brazilian comics translated into German. In addition, I seek to explore theoretical considerations on the translation of comics, mainly from the perspective of multimodality, taking into account the visual aspects that influence linguistic translation, as well as the visual dimension that the written text has in comics in the form of speech balloons, captions, inscriptions on the image and onomatopoeia. The theoretical elaboration will be used to analyze the five translations from Hubner. The focus of the analysis will be the visual dimension of comics translation, such as the translation (or not) of onomatopoeia and inscriptions, the fonts chosen for the written text and cases in which the image has a direct influence on the translation choices.
