[pt] O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar conflitos intergeracionais, a partir do cuidado compartilhado exercido por avós a netos(as) e sua interferência no exercício da parentalidade. Trata-se de pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, cujo principal instrumento para produção de dados consistiu em entrevistas semiestruturadas com cinco famílias, inseridas em projetos de avaliação e acompanhamento familiar, executados por equipe multidisciplinar da Casa da Criança e do Adolescente, em Nova Friburgo/RJ. A análise dos dados foi conduzida utilizando o método de interpretação de sentidos. Os resultados evidenciaram a prevalência de famílias monoparentais, chefiadas por mulheres, apontando a necessidade do suporte de sua ascendência - aqui materializada pela presença de outra figura feminina, a avó, que coopera no exercício da função de cuidadora -, o que lhe confere maior mobilidade para outras atividades, ao mesmo tempo que produz tensionamentos referentes à autoridade parental, a concepções e a práticas educativas e sobreposição ou supressão de lugares intergeracionais. Além disso, a necessidade do suporte de avós advém da intensificação de atividades das mulheres mães, da precariedade de políticas públicas e da reduzida participação paterna.

[en] This study aims to analyze intergenerational conflicts based on the shared care exercised by grandparents for their grandchildren and its interference in the exercise of parenting. This is a qualitative research approach, whose main instrument for data engenderment consisted of semi-structured interviews with five families, included in family assessment and monitoring projects, carried out by a multidisciplinary team at Casa da Criança e do Adolescente, in Nova Friburgo/RJ. The data has been analyzed under the method of interpretation of meanings. The results showed the prevalence of single-parent families headed by women, indicating the need for support from their ancestors - here materialized by the presence of another female figure, the grandmother, who cooperates in the exercise of the role of caregiver -, which gives them more preponderant mobility for other activities, while at the same time engendering tensions regarding parental authority, educational concepts and practices and overlapping or suppression of intergenerational places. Furthermore, the need for support from grandparents arises from the intensification of activities of mothers, the precariousness of public policies and minimized paternal participation.
