[pt] O envelhecimento é uma questão social complexa pois traz consigo uma ampla gama de desafios, como questões de saúde, bem-estar e isolamento social. Com o aumento da longevidade, torna-se cada vez mais urgente a busca por novas soluções e estratégias para garantir qualidade de vida durante o envelhecimento. As comunidades inteligentes, que utilizam tecnologias avançadas para aprimorar serviços comunitários, integrando conectividade, sustentabilidade e participação social, podem oferecer ambientes propícios para o desenvolvimento de uma longevidade com qualidade. Este trabalho, por meio de uma revisão da literatura, entrevistas semiestruturadas e workshops de backcasting, explora cenários futuros possíveis e tendências tecnológicas voltadas ao bem-estar da população idosa. Através da análise de estudos e projetos existentes, investigamos como abordagens inovadoras estão impactando de maneira positiva a qualidade de vida da população idosa. Além disso, abordamos a importância de relações sociais saudáveis e ativas para aprimorar a qualidade de vida dessa parcela da sociedade, ao mesmo tempo que identificamos possíveis barreiras de acesso e os desafios associados à exclusão digital. Nas entrevistas, buscamos investigar como os hábitos, comportamentos e preferências em relação às tecnologias digitais influenciam as interações sociais. Também foram analisadas as reações dos entrevistados aos cenários propostos, permitindo identificar futuros desejáveis, preocupações e expectativas. Ao adotar o backcasting, essa pesquisa não apenas projeta futuros desejáveis, mas também identifica os caminhos viáveis para alcançá-los. A partir dos workshops realizados, mapeamos produtos e serviços, políticas públicas e normas de governança que nos ajudaram a compreender os impactos dessas tecnologias digitais e como elas podem ser reguladas e adaptadas para promover maior autonomia, inclusão e qualidade de vida para os idosos, garantindo que as soluções desenvolvidas estejam alinhadas às reais necessidades e expectativas da população.

[en] The aging process is a complex social challenge as it brings forth a wide range of challenges, including health, well-being concerns and social isolation. With increasing longevity, the search for new solutions and strategies to ensure quality of life during aging has become ever more urgent. Intelligent communities, which leverage advanced technologies to enhance community services by integrating connectivity, sustainability, and social participation, can foster environments conducive to promoting longevity with quality of life. This study, encompassing a literature review, semi-structured interviews, and backcasting workshops, explores possible future scenarios involving trends and technologies that promote well-being during the aging process. Through the analysis of existing studies and projects, we explore how innovative approaches are positively impacting the quality of life of the elderly population. Additionally, we address the significance of healthy and active social relationships in enhancing the quality of life for this segment of society, while identifying potential access barriers and challenges associated with digital exclusion. In the interviews, we sought to understand how habits, behaviors, and preferences regarding digital technologies influence social interactions. The participants reactions to the proposed scenarios were also analyzed, enabling the identification of desirable futures, concerns, and expectations. By adopting backcasting, this research not only envisions desirable futures but also identifies viable pathways to achieve them. Based on the workshops conducted, we mapped products and services, public policies and governance frameworks that helped us understand the impacts of these digital technologies and how they can be regulated and adapted to promote greater autonomy, inclusion, and quality of life for older adults, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with the real needs and expectations of the population
