[pt] O presente estudo pretende examinar os conceitos de técnica e tecnologia para que se proponha um aprofundamento sobre o seu significado e uma leitura crítica destes. A partir dos frutos desta análise, tecnologias digitais popularizadas nas últimas décadas, com especial destaque para as redes sociais das empresas Meta, Google e Byte Dance, serão esmiuçadas no seu funcionamento e analisadas como reflexo de um processo histórico e cultural que, quer-se postular, é intrincadamente relacionado com as deturpadas dinâmicas sociais e de trabalho fomentadas pelo discurso neoliberal e pelo capitalismo tardio. Acredita-se também que tais movimentações são, em grande parte, responsáveis pelos abalos sísmicos no modo com que subjetividades são estruturadas atualmente, compreendidas dentro de um contexto instável que as força a graus de flexibilidade e modulação inauditos. A partir desse escopo crítico e teórico, a prática profissional do designer e a indefinição do estatuto do Campo serão estudadas, uma vez que, defendemos, além de estar em curso uma severa condensação desta prática em termos definidos por empresas, há também uma desconexão afetiva com os modos de experimentar o mundo, exercitar processos criativos e relacionar-se em sociedade. A partir de exemplos concretos retirados das redes sociais digitais em foco, a pesquisa será ilustrada com comentários visuais, escritos e performáticos de designers sobre os assuntos tratados aqui.

[en] This study aims to examine the concepts of technique and technology in order to propose a deeper understanding of their meaning and a critical reading of them. Based on the results of this analysis, digital technologies popularized in recent decades, with special emphasis on the social media available through the companies Meta, Google and Byte Dance, will be examined in detail in their functioning and analyzed as a reflection of a historical and cultural processes that, it is intended to postulate, is intricately related to the distorted social and work dynamics fostered by neoliberal discourse and late capitalism. It is also believed that such movements are, to a large extent, responsible for the seismic changes in the way subjectivities are currently structured, understood within an unstable context that forces them to unprecedented degrees of flexibility and modulation. From this critical and theoretical perspective, the professional practice of designers and the lack of definition of the status of the field will be studied, since, we argue, in addition to the severe condensation of this practice in terms defined by companies, there is also an emotional disconnection with the ways of experiencing the world, exercising creative processes and relating to society. Based on concrete examples taken from the social media in question, the research will be illustrated with visual, written and performative comments by designers on the subjects discussed here.
