[pt] A presente tese de Doutorado em Psicologia Clínica, da linha Psicanálise: Clínica e Cultura, desenvolve uma interlocução teórico-conceitual entre a metapsicologia de Sigmund Freud e o emergentismo do biólogo contemporâneo Terrence Deacon. A pesquisa sustenta que tanto Freud como Deacon propõem uma natureza ontologicamente incompleta, em que o negativo é um princípio essencial para a compreensão da vida e da simbolização. A partir do naturalismo científico da metapsicologia freudiana, o estudo associa a pulsão de morte à teoria de Deacon sobre a origem da vida, a abiogênese, argumentando que as restrições (constraints) ou disjunções frente à tendência conjuntiva formulada pela segunda lei da termodinâmica – a lei da entropia – são condições necessárias para a emergência dos processos excitatórios inerentes à organização dos seres vivos, que Deacon compreende como dotados de uma teleodinâmica cujas propriedades são absenciais. O modelo autogênico de Deacon encontra paralelo na metapsicologia na medida em que as tendências disjuntivas são associadas às pulsões de morte e que seu acoplamento numa circularidade dinâmica que integra, amplifica e regula normativamente essas tensões remete-se às pulsões de vida. Segundo essa perspectiva, a plasticidade de Eros está fundamentada em ausências que interagem reciprocamente, permitindo, quando estabelecida uma fusão entre elas, a geração normativa de novas formas de organização, estas também definidas em termos de ausências. Adicionalmente, a pesquisa aproxima as teorias freudianas sobre a simbolização, com ênfase no ponto de vista filogenético, às concepções biossemióticas de Deacon sobre a coevolução da linguagem e do cérebro, alicerçadas em processos como a construção de nicho, a assimilação genética, a autodomesticação e o relaxamento da seleção natural. Nessa investigação sobre a antropogenia, destaca-se que é a negação, ou a perda de autonomias individuais e funcionais, a condição necessária para o surgimento da complexidade humana, notavelmente manifestada pelo vínculo social e pela linguagem simbólica, pois está na base para as experiências emocionais emergentes como o sentimento de culpa, o pensamento narrativo e a conduta moral. Ambas as teorias sustentam que o cerne do processo para a comunicação por meio de símbolos é constituído de processos negativos, em que se perdem as relações constantes na relação signo-significado e em que as modalidades de referência são cada vez mais indiretas. Por meio dessa interlocução, a pesquisa visa contribuir para um entendimento mais profundo da relação entre natureza, vida e simbolização, e propõe uma base conceitual que integra psicanálise e ciência emergentista sob a ótica da negatividade ontológica.

[en] The present Doctoral thesis in Clinical Psychology, from the Psychoanalysis: Clinic and Culture programme, develops a theoretical-conceptual dialogue between Sigmund Freud s metapsychology and the emergentism of contemporary biologist Terrence Deacon. The research argues that both Freud and Deacon propose an ontologically incomplete nature, in which the negative is an essential principle for understanding life and symbolisation. Drawing on the scientific naturalism of Freudian metapsychology, the study associates the death drive with Deacon s theory of the origin of life, a biogenesis, arguing that constraints or disjunctions, in contrast to the conjunctive tendency formulated by the second law of thermodynamics – the law of entropy – are necessary conditions for the emergence of the excitatory processes inherent to the organisation of living beings, which Deacon characterises as possessing teleodynamic properties of an absential nature. Deacon s autogenic model finds parallels in metapsychology insofar as disjunctive tendencies are associated with the death drives, and their coupling in a dynamic circularity, which integrates, amplifies, and normatively regulates these tensions, refers back to the life drives. From this perspective, the plasticity of Eros is grounded in absences that interact reciprocally, allowing, when a fusion between them is established, the normative generation of new forms of organisation, themselves also defined in terms of absences. Additionally, the research brings together Freudian theories of symbolisation, with emphasis on the phylogenetic viewpoint, and Deacon s biosemiotic conceptions of the co-evolution of language and the brain, founded on processes such as niche construction, genetic assimilation, self-domestication, and the relaxation of natural selection. In this investigation of anthropogenesis, it is pointed out that the negation or loss of individual and functional autonomies is the necessary condition for the emergence of human complexity, most notably manifested in social bonding and symbolic language, which underpins the emergence of emotional experiences such as guilt, narrative thinking, and moral behaviour. Both theories contend that the core of the symbolic communication process is based on negative processes, where constant relations in the sign-meaning relationship are lost, and where reference styles become increasingly indirect. Through this dialogue, the research seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the relationship between nature, life, and symbolisation, and advances a conceptual foundation that integrates psychoanalysis and emergentist science from the perspective of ontological negativity.
