Resumo
[pt] O presente artigo visa investigar a relação dos seres da ficção, como os nomeia Bruno Latour, com as ciências de
Gaia, nomeadas a partir da Hipótese de Gaia formulada por James Lovelock e Lynn Margulis. Dessa maneira, os objetivos
serão os de traçar um paralelo de relacionalidade entre o que a autora Frédérique Aït-Touati chama de narrativas factualizantes
e narrativas ficcionalizantes, entender qual o local da ficção na ciência e o motivo de sua utilização na prática científica, e por
último, buscar compreender, a partir de Gaia, como o modo de existência das ciências e da ficção poderiam, não apenas dialogar,
mas coexistir nesse novo ator global. Minha hipótese é de que, com o Reawakening de Gaia, esse novo ser que é convocado a
responder às questões globais, os seres da ficção e suas narrativas ganhem cada vez mais espaço na ciência e na filosofia.
Resumo
[en] The present article aims to investigate the relationship between fictional beings,
as named by Bruno Latour, and the sciences of Gaia, based on the Gaia Hypothesis
formulated by James Lovelock and Lynn Margulis. Thus, the objectives will be to
draw a parallel of relationality between what the author Frédérique Aït-Touati
calls factualizing narratives and fictionalizing narratives, to understand the
role of fiction in science and the reason for its use in scientific practice,
and finally, to explore how, from Gaia, the modes of existence of
science and fiction could not only dialogue but also coexist within
this new global actor. My hypothesis is that, with the Reawakening of Gaia,
this new being that is called upon to address global issues will allow fictional
beings and their narratives to gain increasingly more space in science and philosophy.
