[pt] Esta pesquisa aborda a realidade do Conselho Pastoral Paroquial como um instrumento privilegiado de implantação da eclesiologia do Concílio Vaticano II, de modo especial, em sua imagem de comunhão e participação. Com a conclusão do Sínodo dos Bispos sobre o tema da sinodalidade e a busca de caminhos para que a Igreja do século XXI possa viver a sua missão de caminhar juntos, o Conselho Pastoral Paroquial, desde a sua gênese conciliar e na sua configuração jurídica no Código de Direito Canônico, foi apontado pelas Diretrizes Gerais da Igreja do Brasil como instrumento efetivo para a realização da Igreja como comunhão e para envolver os batizados, clérigos, religiosos e religiosas, leigos e leigas na participação e na corresponsabilidade, fazendo perceber que a sinodalidade já vinha acontecendo na Igreja do Brasil. A participação dos batizados nos processos de tomada de decisão, práticas de prestação de contas e avaliação, ocorrem por meio de mediações institucionais, principalmente nos organismos de participação. A conversão pastoral em perspectiva sinodal será promissora e perceptível quando esses organismos forem assumidos com toda a sua eficiência e vitalidade efetivas, possibilitando a corresponsabilidade de todos os batizados e batizadas na vida e no cuidado pastoral das comunidades eclesiais. A Igreja só realizará a comunhão de todos se houver estruturas de participação que possibilitem tal comunhão. Na Igreja do Brasil, as Diretrizes Gerais orientaram essa caminhada nestes últimos 60 anos.

[en] This research addresses the reality of the Parish Pastoral Council as a privileged instrument for implementing the ecclesiology of the Second Vatican Council, especially in its image of communion and participation. With the conclusion of the Synod of Bishops on the theme of synodality and the search for ways so that the Church of the 21st century can live its mission of walking together, the Parish Pastoral Council, since its conciliar genesis and in its legal configuration in the Code of Canon Law, it was identified by the General Guidelines of the Church of Brazil as an effective instrument for the realization of the Church as communion and for involving the baptized, clergy, men and women religious, lay men and women in participation and in co-responsibility, making it clear that synodality was already happening in the Church of Brazil. The participation of baptized people in decision-making processes, accountability and evaluation practices occurs through institutional mediation, mainly in participation bodies. Pastoral conversion from a synodal perspective will be promising and noticeable when these organizations are assumed with all their effective efficiency and vitality, enabling the co-responsibility of all baptized men and women in the life and pastoral care of ecclesial communities. The Church will only achieve communion for all if there are participation structures that make such communion possible. In the Church of Brazil, the General Guidelines have guided this journey over the last 60 years.
