[pt] Este artigo visa apresentar o pensamento de Luiz Werneck Vianna e seu legado para a análise da Constituinte e do tema da conjuntura política no Brasil. A partir do estudo de suas reflexões segundo uma abordagem contextual e de modo relacional com seus pares, buscou-se apresentar um círculo de interlocutores, que foram testemunhas, e ao mesmo tempo se dedicaram à reflexão sobre o tema, do presente em contexto de crise e mudança, da conservação e do novo. Nesse sentido, o artigo também pontua o legado werneckiano a partir de estudos sobre a democracia e de seus contemporâneos no país.

[en] This article aims to present the thoughts of Luiz Werneck Vianna and his legacy for the analysis of the Constituent Assembly and the topic of the political conjuncture in Brazil. From the study of his reflections according to a contextual approach and in a relational way with his peers, we sought to present a circle of interlocutors, who were witnesses and at the same time dedicated themselves to reflecting on the present in a context of crisis and change, of conservation and the novelty. In this sense, the article also highlights the Werneckian legacy, based on studies on democracy and its contemporaries in the country.
