[pt] O presente artigo analisa a instrumentalização de narrativas conspiratórias antissemitas, utilizando como estudo de caso o discurso anti-Soros promovido pelo governo populista de Viktor Orbán, na Hungria. Desde os libelos de sangue e os Protocolos dos Sábios de Sião até as manifestações contemporâneas, o antissemitismo adaptou-se para atender a diferentes contextos históricos, políticos e sociais. A pesquisa, estruturada em três seções principais, investiga: 1) os fundamentos históricos e conceituais das teorias conspiratórias e do antissemitismo, 2) a relação do populismo de extrema-direita com essas narrativas, e 3) a análise do discurso anti-Soros na Hungria por meio de falas de Orbán e o questionário nacional sobre o "Plano Soros". O estudo demonstra como o governo Orbán utiliza estereótipos antissemitas, através de "dog whistles", para mobilizar apoio popular e justificar políticas autoritárias e em oposição à União Europeia. Conclui-se que o caso húngaro se insere em um padrão histórico, no qual as narrativas conspiratórias antissemitas servem como uma importante ferramenta de manipulação política.

[en] This study analyzes the instrumentalization of antisemitic conspiracy narratives, using the anti-Soros discourse promoted by Viktor Orbán s populist government in Hungary as a case study. From blood libels and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to contemporary manifestations, antisemitism has adapted to meet different historical, political, and social contexts. The research, structured into three main sections, investigates: 1) the historical and conceptual foundations of conspiracy theories and antisemitism, 2) the relationship between far-right populism and these narratives, and 3) the analysis of the anti-Soros discourse in Hungary through Orbán s speeches and the national questionnaire on the "Soros Plan." The study demonstrates how Orbán s government uses antisemitic stereotypes, employing "dog whistles," to mobilize popular support and justify authoritarian policies in opposition to the European Union. It concludes that the Hungarian case fits into a historical pattern in which antisemitic conspiracy narratives serve as a significant tool for political manipulation.
