[pt] Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo ampliar a visibilidade da obra de Maria Beatriz Nascimento, uma historiadora e intelectual negra que (re)escreveu a história do Brasil a partir da perspectiva dos quilombos. A dissertação se divide em três capítulos, que abordam diferentes aspectos da trajetória intelectual de Beatriz, desde sua formação acadêmica até sua atuação política e cultural. O primeiro capítulo examina o contexto histórico e social em que Beatriz se inseriu e atuou, bem como seus intercâmbios e diálogos com outros intelectuais de sua geração. O segundo capítulo analisa o processo de pesquisa de Beatriz sobre os quilombos, os conceitos e as referências filosóficas que ela mobilizou, e as contribuições que ela fez para o pensamento quilombola. O terceiro capítulo reflete sobre a produção de conhecimento de Beatriz com foco na experiência das mulheres negras, discutindo como ela construiu sua identidade subversiva e utilizou sua escrita como ferramenta de transformação social. A pesquisa se baseia em fontes documentais e manuscritas de Beatriz, bem como em autores que abordam temas relacionados à sua obra.

[en] This research aims to increase the visibility of the work of Maria Beatriz Nascimento, a black historian and intellectual who rewrote the history of Brazil from the perspective of the quilombos. The dissertation is divided into three chapters, which address different aspects of Beatriz s intellectual trajectory, from her academic formation to her political and cultural action. The first chapter examines the historical and social context in which Beatriz was inserted and acted,as well as her exchanges and dialogues with other intellectuals of her generation.The second chapter analyzes the research process of Beatriz on the quilombos, the concepts and philosophical references that she mobilized, and the contributions that she made to the quilombola thought. The third chapter reflects on the production of knowledge of Beatriz with a focus on the experience of black women, discussing how she built her subversive identity and used her writing as a tool for social transformation. The research is based on documentary and manuscript sources of Beatriz, as well as on authors who address topics related to her work.
