Resumo
[pt] O presente estudo intenta analisar a tradução da vida do povo da Amazônia
Paraense que Dalcídio Jurandir apresenta na cena um de sua obra Chão dos
Lobos, bem como alguns dos desafios na tradução, do português para o
inglês, dessa cena. Questões importantes referentes à tradução, ao retrato da
vida amazônida presente no livro, bem como à teoria e metodologia
utilizadas na tradução para o inglês, são discutidas.
Resumo
[en] This study aims at analyzing the translation of the peoples lives in Pará s
Amazon Region, presented in the scene one of Dalcídio Jurandir s Chão dos
Lobos, as well as some of the challenges in the translation, from Portuguese
to English, of this scene. Important issues regarding the translation, the
portrait of Amazonian lives present in the book, as well as matters related to
the theory and methodology used in the translation to English, are discussed.
