[pt] O Reino de Deus é um tema central da revelação de Deus contida na Sagrada Escritura. Se, por um lado, o advento da monarquia em Israel testemunhou a vontade humana de ter estabilidade social, por outro lado serviu para Deus revelar seus propósitos como pastor e condutor da história do seu povo, pelo qual os outros povos viriam ao conhecimento do seu amor salvífico universal. Assim, pela perspectiva bíblica, o que começou na terra se consumará nos céus, com a eliminação de todas as formas de corrupção da existência, em particular a morte. O presente artigo está articulado em três tópicos. No primeiro, verifica-se a noção de Reino de Deus no Antigo Testamento. No segundo, indica-se como o Reino de Deus se concretizou em Jesus de Nazaré. No terceiro, entende-se a razão para o Reino de Deus ter sido confiado à Igreja que, no mundo, atesta a sua validade e vitalidade, enquanto indica a sua finalidade. A chave de interpretação usada foi a obediência incondicional a Deus e à sua vontade. Necessidade e rejeição, então, são dois aspectos ou prismas, pelos quais, o ser humano se posiciona diante do Reino de Deus.

[en] The Kingdom of God is a center theme of God s revelation contained in Holy Scripture. If, on one hand, the advent of the monarchy in Israel witnessed the human desire for social stability,on the other hand it served for God to reveal his purposes as shepherd and conductor of the history of his people, through which other peoples would come to know his salvific and universal love. Thus, from a biblical perspective, what began on earth will be consummated in heaven, with the elimination of all forms of corruption from existence, in particular, death. This article is divided into three topics. In the first, the notion of the Kingdom of God in the Old Testament is verified. In the second, it is indicated how the Kingdom of God came to fruition in Jesus of Nazareth. In the third, we understand the reason for the Kingdom of God have been assigned to the Church which, in the world, attests to its validity and vitality, while indicating its purpose. The interpretation key used was unconditional obedience to God and his will. Necessity and rejection are two aspects or prisms through which human being position themselves before the Kingdom of God.
