Resumo
[pt] Este trabalho consiste em analisar as dificuldades que OCR (Optical Character
Recognition, ou Reconhecimento Ótico de Caracteres) tem quando é utilizado
em imagens de streetview, listando as características deste tipo de imagem que
gera estas dificuldades para OCR. O trabalho também propõe um pipeline para
tratar as dificuldades identificadas, com detalhamento do que cada etapa do
pipeline faz para o OCR atingir resultados favoráveis com imagens de streetview.
Resumo
[en] This project consists of analyzing the difficulties OCR (Optical Character
Recognition) has when utilized with streetview images, listing the characteristics
about this type of image that creates these difficulties for OCR. It also proposes a
pipeline to address the identified difficulties, detailing what each step of the
pipeline does for OCR to achieve favorable results with streetview images.
