[pt] A legendagem interlinguística é uma das modalidades de tradução audiovisual mais praticadas atualmente. Este estudo objetiva discutir diversos elementos presentes na tessitura de um texto audiovisual legendado e suas implicações no trabalho do legendista. Nesse sentido, buscou-se embasamento teórico nas literaturas acerca da linguagem fílmica, tradução audiovisual e legendagem. O caráter descritivo deste trabalho exigiu, ainda, a consideração de noções advindas da semiótica pierciana. Enquanto objeto a ser descrito e analisado, discutiu-se a qualidade criativa das legendas de duas cenas constantes em obras audiovisuais hospedadas na plataforma de streaming Netflix. Percebeu-se a forte pressão que os ícones e os índices impõem na produção dos textos de legendas, exigindo que o legendista tenha conhecimento técnico e criatividade ao retextualizar na língua de chegada.
Resumo
[en] Interlingual subtitling is one of the most widely practiced audiovisual translation modes nowadays. The purpose of this study is to discuss several elements present in the composition of a subtitled audiovisual text and their implications for the subtitler s work. In this regard, a theoretical framework in the literature on filmic language, audiovisual translation and subtitling was conducted to support this study. Additionally, the descriptive nature of this research also called for considering notions of Peirce s semiotics. As an object to be described and analyzed, the creative quality of subtitles in two scenes from audiovisual works hosted on the streaming platform Netflix was discussed. Thus, it was observed that the strong influence icons and indexes exerted on the production of subtitled texts required that the subtitler have technical knowledge and creativity to rephrase the original text.
