[pt] Os documentos emanados pelo Papa Francisco, nestes dez anos de Pontificado, são permeados pela Sagrada Escritura. Francisco não somente reafirma que a Teologia “deve estar enraizada e fundada na Sagrada Escritura e na Tradição viva” (Veritatis Gaudium, 4), mas ele mesmo coloca em prática tal princípio, oferecendo singulares reflexões bíblicas, citações diretas e alusões ao texto sagrado que fazem com que seus documentos sejam como que uma meditação a partir do próprio texto escriturístico, com vistas a iluminar as questões atuais que devem ser respondidas pela Igreja. O presente artigo pretende analisar algumas imagens bíblicas das quais Francisco se utiliza para falar da Igreja. Para atingir tal objetivo, reflete-se primeiro brevemente sobre o uso da Sagrada Escritura no seu Magistério. Em seguida, apresentam-se três imagens bíblicas aplicadas à Igreja em seus documentos: Igreja como “Povo de Deus”, “Corpo de Cristo/Templo do Espírito” e “Casa aberta do Pai”. Por fim, na terceira parte do artigo, são elencadas algumas figuras bíblicas, as quais são apresentadas por Francisco como modelos para a Igreja, culminando em Maria, a “Virgem feita Igreja” (São Francisco). O método utilizado é aquele da análise bibliográfica, considerando-se particularmente, ainda que não exclusivamente, os principais textos de seu Magistério, ou seja, suas Encíclicas, Exortações, Cartas e Constituições Apostólicas. Conclui-se que o dado bíblico aparece no fazer teológico de Francisco tanto como argumento, quanto como fundamento escriturístico de suas afirmações e, que as imagens bíblicas por ele utilizadas para falar da Igreja estão em estreita consonância com sua concepção de uma Igreja em diálogo e sinodal.

[en] The documents issued by Pope Francis in these ten years of Pontificate are permeated by Sacred Scripture. Francis not only reaffirms that Theology “must be rooted and founded in Sacred Scripture and living Tradition” (Veritatis Gaudium, 4), but he himself puts this principle into practice, offering unique biblical reflections, direct quotations and allusions to the sacred text that make their documents look like a meditation on the scriptural text itself, with a view to illuminating current questions that must be answered by the Church. This article intends to analyze some biblical images that Pope Francis uses to talk about the Church. To achieve this objective, we first briefly reflect on the use of Sacred Scripture in its Magisterium. Next, three biblical images applied to the Church in its documents are presented: Church as “People of God”, “Body of Christ/Temple of the Spirit” and “Open House of the Father”. Finally, in the third part of the article, some biblical figures are listed, which are presented by Pope Francis as models for the Church, culminating in Mary, the “Virgin made Church” (Saint Francis). The method used is that of bibliographical analysis, considering particularly, although not exclusively, the main texts of his Magisterium, that is, hisEncyclicals, Exhortations, Letters and Apostolic Constitutions. It is concluded that the biblical data appears in Francisco’s theological work both as an argument and as a scriptural foundation for his statements and that the biblical images used by him to talk about the Church are in close consonance with his conception of a Church in dialogue and synodal.
