[pt] Este trabalho é fruto dos estudos e pesquisas realizados junto ao Programa de Pós- -Graduação em Sociologia e Ciência Política da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul-PUCRS, e do projeto de pesquisa de doutorado intitulado Serviço Social, Desastres e Emergências Climáticas: Interface entre trabalho e saúde mental sob orientação da Dra. Professora Maria Isabel Barros Bellini. Trata-se de revisão bibliográfica que apontou uma produção ainda escassa do serviço social na interface com o racismo ambiental e que impõe a profissão um maior investimento nessa temática, visto que os assistentes sociais têm um compromisso ético na luta contra a violação de direitos.

[en] This work is the result of studies and research carried out with the Postgraduate Program in Sociology and Political Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul-PUCRS, and the doctoral research project entitled Social Service, Disasters and Climate Emergencies: Interface between work and mental health under the guidance of doctor teacher Maria Isabel Barros Bellini. This is a bibliographical review that highlighted a still scarce production of social work at the interface with environmental racism and that requires the profession to invest more in this topic since social workers have an ethical commitment in the fight against violation of rights.
