[pt] Este artigo tem a intenção de apresentar o pensamento do Papa Francisco e a encíclica Laudato Si numa leitura pós pandemia. Atento aos desafios atuais da Igreja e do mundo, o Papa Francisco identificou, na encíclica Laudato Si, a terra, nossa casa comum, entre os pobres mais abandonados e maltratados pelo próprio ser humano. Ouvindo ao mesmo tempo o grito da terra e o grito dos pobres, o Papa Francisco compreendeu que não há duas crises separadas: uma ambiental e outra social; mas uma única e complexa crise socioambiental. A consciência de que tudo está interligado e de que os problemas globais exigem soluções integrais, que incluem a fé e a espiritualidade, é uma das contribuiçoes fundamentais da encíclica Laudato Si’ para a Igreja e para o mundo: são os elementos de uma ecologia integral, que inclui as dimensões humanas, sociais e ambientais no cuidado da casa comum. A mensagem da encíclica Laudato Si, convidando a humanidade a ouvir o grito da terra e o grito dos pobres, tornou-se profética com o advento da pandemia do novo coronavírus, que assolou de forma dramática e interligada o mundo inteiro.

[en] This article intends to present the thought of Pope Francis and the encyclical Laudato Si in a post-pandemic reading. Attentive to the current challenges of the Church and the world, Pope Francis identified, in the encyclical Laudato Si, the earth, our common home, among the poor most abandoned and mistreated by human beings. Hearing the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor at the same time, Pope Francis understood that there are not two separate crises: one environmental and the other social; but a single and complex social and environmental crisis. The awareness that everything is interconnected and that global problems require integral solutions, which include faith and spirituality, is one of the fundamental contributions of the encyclical Laudato Si to the Church and to the world: they are the elements of an integral ecology , which includes human, social and environmental dimensions in caring for our common home. The message of the encyclical Laudato Si, inviting humanity to hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor, has become prophetic with the advent of the new coronavirus pandemic, which has dramatically and interconnectedly affected the entire world.
