[pt] Neste trabalho procuramos compreender as transformações (socio)espaciais no Município de Duque de Caxias (RJ) integradas à ação conjunta de sujeitos sociais diversos percebendo o município como exemplo das inter-relações espaciais em alguns momentos da organização do capitalismo em periferias urbanas. Consideramos sujeitos (sociais) todos aqueles que interferem na produção do espaço – cientistas/pesquisadores, Estado/políticos, capital/capitalistas e trabalhadores(as)/moradores(as), além do que foi denominado como sujeitos subalternizados. As leituras efetuadas não encerram a busca da teoria (infindável), mas se permanecermos nessa parte do trajeto (Realidade-Teoria-Realidade) escapanos a continuidade do percurso que é alcançar o real transformado pelo movimento da própria dinâmica espaço temporal. Não se trata de etapas de um caminho. Tratase de um jogo de interações dialéticas Realidade-Teoria-Realidade representando esse último o real transformado, o qual se alcançado obriga a um imediato retorno à teoria e as observações iniciais. Por muito tempo, e talvez ainda nos dias atuais, o município de Duque de Caxias foi, ou ainda é visto, como periferia do município do Rio de Janeiro, seja nos centros acadêmicos, seja na realidade dos sujeitos caxienses. Essa periferia distante, muitas vezes, é vista como um limite não só territorial, mas também como um limite do seu lugar no mundo. Mas a interação centro e periferia sempre ocorreu e continua ocorrendo, adaptando-se aos diferentes momentos do capitalismo. No momento atual do capitalismo e buscando pensar a relação centro periferia não simplesmente a partir da diferenciação, mas a partir de um novo quadro de desenvolvimento no qual a integração, ou seja, um processo de socialização negativa através do consumo, do crédito e do endividamento, mesmo dentro de um quadro de aumento da miséria. Duque de Caxias muda, vai ainda mudar e esta mudança lhe traz a maior transformação pela qual já passou, a maior perturbação e o maior desenvolvimento.

[en] In this work we seek to understand the (socio)spatial transformations in the Municipality of Duque de Caxias (RJ) integrated to the joint action of diverse social subjects perceiving the municipality as an example of spatial interrelationships in some moments of the organization of capitalism in urban peripheries. We consider (social) subjects all those who interfere in the production of space – scientists/researchers, State/politicians, capital/capitalists and workers/residents, in addition to what was called subaltern subjects. The readings carried out do not end the search for theory (endless), but if we remain on this part of the path (RealityTheory-Reality) we miss the continuity of the path that is to reach the real transformed by the movement of the space-time dynamics itself. It s not about steps on a path. It is a game of Reality-Theory-Reality dialectical interactions, the latter representing the transformed reality, which, if achieved, requires an immediate return to theory and initial observations. For a long time, and perhaps even today, the municipality of Duque de Caxias was, or is still seen, as the outskirts of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, whether in academic centers or in the reality of citizens. This distant periphery is often seen not only as a territorial limit, but also as a limit to their place in the world. But the interaction center and periphery has always occurred and continues to occur, adapting to the different moments of capitalism. In the current moment of capitalism and seeking to think about the center-periphery relationship not simply from differentiation, but from a new development framework in which integration, that is, a process of negative socialization through consumption, credit and indebtedness, even within a framework of increasing poverty. Duque de Caxias changes, is still going to change and this change brings him the greatest transformation he has ever gone through, the greatest disturbance and the greatest development.
