[pt] Em 2018 houve, no centro de São Paulo, um incêndio seguido da queda (tipo de implosão) do edifício Wilton Paes de Almeida, onde havia uma ocupação. Em um processo de cunho policialesco e midiático, que tradicionalmente visa criminalizar os movimentos sociais de moradia, executaram-se ações para vistoriar ocupações e, posteriormente, foram decretadas prisões preventivas de lideranças que não tinham nenhuma ligação com a ocupação que colapsou. Esse estudo de caso apresenta o relato publicado por uma dessas lideranças que teve a sua prisão preventiva decretada, acerca dos seus sentimentos enquanto vivia essa situação e tendo conhecimento de que dois filhos haviam sido presos.

[en] In 2018, a fire followed by the collapse of the Wilton Paes de Almeida building, which was occupied, occurred in downtown São Paulo. In a process characterized by a police and media approach that traditionally aims to criminalize housing social movements, actions were taken to inspect occupations (squatter), and later, preventive arrests of leaders that had nothing to do with the collapsed building were decreed. This Case Study presents the published report by one of these leadership that had decreed prison describing her feelings in this situation and having received news about the arrest of her two children.
