[pt] Este estudo investigou como desenvolver projetos sustentáveis na área da cultura dentro da comunidade Santa Marta. A análise se concentrou em projetos realizados desde os anos 1980, examinando os desafios enfrentados, as práticas de gestão adotadas, a opinião dos produtores culturais e participantes, os impactos gerados e a estrutura dos projetos. O objetivo principal é compreender como os projetos culturais podem se tornar sustentáveis, oferecendo ideias e soluções para garantir a continuidade de suas atividades. A pesquisa foi conduzida por meio de 20 entrevistas realizadas com organizadores, participantes e ex-participantes dos projetos. Os resultados revelaram dificuldades financeiras, falta de conhecimento em gestão e empreendedorismo social por parte dos produtores culturais, bem como a escassez de investimentos em políticas públicas para a cultura nas favelas. As informações obtidas neste estudo podem ser valiosas para outras comunidades que desenvolvem projetos culturais ou que recebem iniciativas externas. Pretende-se auxiliar os produtores culturais a compreender os diversos aspectos envolvidos na gestão de projetos, a fim de evitar o possível encerramento ou enfraquecimento dos projetos culturais nas favelas. Dessa forma, busca-se preservar o processo de transformação na vida dos moradores, garantindo a continuidade e o impacto positivo dessas iniciativas.

[en] This study investigated how to develop sustainable projects in the cultural field within the Santa Marta community. The analysis focused on projects carried out since the 1980s, examining the challenges faced, management practices adopted, the perspectives of cultural producers and participants, the impacts generated, and the project structures. The main objective was to understand how cultural projects can become sustainable by offering ideas and solutions to ensure the continuity of their activities. The research was conducted through 20 interviews with organizers, participants, and former participants of the projects. The results revealed financial difficulties, a lack of management knowledge and social entrepreneurship among cultural producers, as well as a scarcity of investments in public policies for culture in the favelas. The information obtained in this study can be valuable for other communities that develop cultural projects or receive external initiatives. The aim is to assist cultural producers in understanding the various aspects involved in project management, in order to prevent potential closure or weakening of cultural projects in the favelas. In this way, the goal is to preserve the transformative process in the lives of residents, ensuring the continuity and positive impact of these initiatives.
