[pt] O presente artigo busca aprofundar a dimensão da homilia enquanto alimento para a vida cristã. Nosso estudo se inicia com Santo Ambrósio de Milão sob dois aspectos: primeiramente, apresentaremos alguns pontos da sua exegese do relato evangélico da multiplicação dos pães que tanto retrata a Palavra como alimento quanto a dinâmica de sua partilha; depois, veremos a intuição ambrosiana da ruminatio, que basicamente consiste em uma remeditação contínua dos textos bíblicos. A segunda seção abordará alguns textos do Magistério a partir da reforma litúrgica acerca da Palavra de Deus como alimento. Nesse processo de recepção conciliar, observaremos seus desdobramentos, tanto em relação à Escritura proclamada como em relação à Palavra na forma homilética. A última parte deste estudo examinará a dinâmica do banquete da Palavra explicada a partir de dois pontos: a importância da ruminatio na preparação da pregação e a atitude dos fiéis que participam do rito. Os dados apresentados contribuem para que o homiliasta e a assembleia aprofundem a importância da homilia como alimento para a vida cristã no decurso das celebrações.

[en] This article aims to deepen the dimension of the homily as nourishment for the christian life. Our study begins with St. Ambrose of Milan from two aspects: first, we will present some points of his exegesis of the evangelical account of the multiplication of the loaves, which both portrays the Word as food and the dynamics of its sharing; then we will look at the ambrosian intuition of ruminatio, which basically consists of a continuous rethink on biblical texts. The second section will address some texts of the Magisterium from the liturgical reform about the Word of God as food. In this process of conciliar reception, we will observe its unfolding, both in relation to the proclaimed Scripture and in relation to the Word in homiletic form. The last part of this study will examine the dynamics of the feast of the Word explained from two points: the importance of the ruminatio in the preparation of the preaching and the attitude of the faithful participating in the rite. The data presented contribute for the homilist and the assembly to deepen the importance of the homily as nourishment for the christian life during the celebrations.
