[pt] O tema da mediação aparece com frequência no livro de Jó, fazendo-se sentir desde o prólogo até o epílogo. Esse é, portanto, o assunto central deste estudo, que estabelece uma relação entre a mediação terrestre e a mediação celestia dentro do livro de Jó. Além disso, explora a relação existente entre mediação e teodiceia. Partindo da exegese de cinco perícopes – duas que tratam da mediação terrestre (Jó 1,1-5; 42,7-10) e outras três concernentes à mediação celestial (Jó 9,32-35; 16,19-21; 33,23-28) –, a análise feita mostrou que existe uma correspondência dinâmica, equivalente e de contraparte entre os dois tipos de mediação. Revelou também que há uma relação direta entre o tema da teodiceia e o da mediação, concluindo que a mediação funciona como um dispositivo usado por Deus em reação ao sofrimento humano.

[en] The theme of mediation frequently appears in the Book of Job, and its presence can be noticed from the prologue to the epilogue. This is, therefore, the central issue of this study, which establishes a relationship between the earthly mediation and the heavenly mediation within the Book of Job. It also explores the relationship between mediation and theodicy. By starting from the exegesis of five pericopae – two that deal with earthly mediation (Job 1,1-5; 42,7-10) and three others concerning heavenly mediation (Job 9,32-35; 16,19-21; 33, 23-28) –, our analysis showed that there is a dynamic, equivalent, and counterpart correspondence between the two types of mediation. It also revealed that there is a direct relationship between the theme of theodicy and that of mediation, concluding that mediation works as a device used by God in response to human suffering.

[es] El tema de la mediación aparece con frecuencia en el Libro de Job, haciéndose sentir desde el prólogo hasta el epílogo. Dicho tema es, por lo tanto, el objeto central de este estudio, que establece una relación entre la mediación terrestre y la mediación celeste en el Libro de Job. Además, explora la relación entre mediación y teodicea. Basándose de la exégesis de cinco perícopas – dos sobre la mediación terrestre (Job 1,1-5; 42,7-10) y otras tres sobre la mediación celestial (Job 9,32-35; 16,19-21; 33,23 -28) –, el análisis realizado mostró que existe una correspondencia dinámica, equivalente y de contraparte entre los dos tipos de mediación. También reveló que existe una relación directa entre el tema de la teodicea y el de la mediación, concluyendo que la mediación funciona como un dispositivo usado por Dios en reacción al sufrimiento humano.
