[pt] No início do ano de 2013, o Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, atolado em dívidas e com quase todas as receitas do então ano comprometidas, rompia o contrato de sua maior estrela, Vagner Love, e o devolvia ao CSKA, da Rússia. Iniciava-se ali, uma quebra com anos de negligência administrativo-financeira, encabeçada pelo então presidente eleito, Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, para o período de 2013 a 2015. Este estudo busca analisar o Clube de Regatas do Flamengo e tem como período de foco o intervalo de 2012 a 2021 – em 2012 se encerrava o mandato de Patrícia Amorim, e em 2021 o Flamengo chegava a sua segunda final de Libertadores da América em 3 anos e batia um faturamento superior a 1 bilhão de reais, tendo passado pelo ano de maior sucesso esportivo desde 1981, o ano de 2019. Nesse sentido, o estudo traz, como objetivo principal a análise do valor econômico do Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, através do método de Tom Markham, e como ele se relaciona com a capacidade de se manter competitiva alcançada pela instituição, que após anos de montagens de times fracos, passa a figurar, invariavelmente, entre os postulantes aos principais títulos do país e do continente.

[en] By the year of 2013, the Flamengo Club, swamped with debts, and with most of its anual revenues already committed, the board breached the contract with its major soccer player, Vagner Love, and returned him to his previous team in Russia, the CSKA. There was the beginning of the club s crash with years of irresponsibility, headed by its general representative (also called as president), Eduardo Bandeira de Mello, during the years of 2013-2015. This review focus on analyze the Flamengo s Club management during the years of 2012 until 2021: by the year of 2012, it was the end of Patrícia Amorim s management, and by 2021, Flamengo s soccer major team achieved its second Libertadores da America Tournament finals in the last 3 (three) years, with a revenue peak above to one billion reais, exceeding its best year since 1981, that was the year of 2019. In summary, this review provides as main subject to analyze the financial value of Flamengo s Club, appliyng Tom Markham s method of valuation, and its ability to keep itself competitive during the last years and postulating for the main tournaments in the country and continent, after so many years building weak soccer teams.
