Resumo
[pt] Este trabalho tem o intuito de mostrar o quanto a educação financeira é
importante na vida de um indivíduo. O objetivo final do trabalho é realizar uma
categorização dessa educação financeira no Brasil, em três categorias atreladas
diretamente com o nível de educação financeira do indivíduo. A metodologia
utilizada foi uma pesquisa exploratória quantitativa de campo, visando entender
o perfil dos brasileiros para ilustrar essa segregação. Após realizada a
categorização, se percebe que as categorias A e B necessitam de atenção
especial quando se trata de conhecimento acerca de taxa de juros e
instrumentos financeiros para facilitar a gestão do próprio patrimônio, enquanto a
categoria C representa as pessoas com conhecimento pleno do assunto.
Resumo
[en] This article intends to show how important financial education is in the life
of an individual. The final objective of the article is to develop a categorization of
this financial education in Brazil, in three categories directly linked to the
individual s level of financial education. The methodology used was an
exploratory quantitative field research, to understand the profile of Brazilians to
illustrate this segregation. After performing the categorization, it is clear that
categories A and B need special attention when it comes to knowledge about
interest rates and financial instruments to facilitate the management of their own
assets, while category C represents people with full knowledge of the subject.
