[pt] A misericórdia precisa ser vivenciada na busca do rosto de Deus na vida, na história, na luta e no sonho dos filhos e filhas de Deus. Ela é encontrada, particularmente, na experiência do Sacramento da Reconciliação. A teologia de Bernardino Leers toca a essência da vida cristã. Conhecer algo desta sensibilidade se torna cada vez mais útil para mergulharmos em águas mais profundas, sobretudo na compreensão do Sacramento da Reconciliação. Neste texto buscou-se um diálogo entre o pensamento do Papa Francisco sobre o Deus da misericórdia, com a reflexão desenvolvida pelo teólogo Frei Bernardino Leers sobre o Sacramento da Reconciliação, lugar privilegiado do pecador experienciar a misericórdia de Deus. Refletir a verdadeira essência do Sacramento da Reconciliação é tocar naquilo que Deus é: Deus é amor (1Jo 4,8.16). A mais bela experiência humana é a do amor. A mais profunda e tocante certeza é a do amor de Deus por nós. A renovação da prática penitencial se enquadra na nova mentalidade eclesial, caracterizada pela capacidade de se mudar, de se transformar (a atitude clássica da metanoia) e pela elasticidade criativa que, além da adaptação, projeta, experimenta e realiza formas de vida, novas e diversas.

[en] Mercy needs to be experienced in the search for the face of God in the life, history, struggle and dreams of God s sons and daughters. It is found particularly in the experience of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Bernardino Leers theology touches the essence of the Christian life. Knowing something of this sensitivity becomes more and more useful to dive into deeper waters, especially in the understanding of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In this text, Bernadino Leers developed a dialog between Pope Francis thoughts about the God of mercy and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the privileged place for sinners to experience God s mercy. To reflect on the true essence of the Sacrament of Reconciliation is to touch on what God is: God is love (1Jn 4:8, 16). The most beautiful human experience is that of love. The deepest and most touching certainty is God s love for us. The renewal of penitential practice fits into the new ecclesial mentality. It s characterized by the ability to change, to be transformed (the classic attitude of metanoia), and by creative elasticity that, beyond adaptation, projects, tests, and realizes new and diverse forms of life.
