[pt] O artigo explicita a relação entre as políticas de ação afirmativa implementadas na PUC-Rio desde a década de 1990 e o perfil de egresso da graduação em Serviço Social. A partir de pesquisa realizada, apresenta reflexões sobre a contribuição de tais políticas para o acesso e permanência da classe trabalhadora no ensino superior. Avaliou-se que foram processadas alterações significativas não apenas na trajetória pessoal e profissional de estudantes, mas também nas práticas pedagógicas, inaugurando,
assim, novo marco nos 85 anos do Departamento e nos 50 anos do Programa
de Pós-graduação em Serviço Social da PUC-Rio.
Resumo
[en] The article explains the relationship between the affirmative action policies implemented
at PUC-Rio since the 1990s and the profile of graduates in Social Work. Based on research carried out, it presents reflections on the contribution of such policies to the access and permanence of the working class in higher education. It was evaluated that significant changes were processed not only in the personal and professional trajectory of students, but also in pedagogical practices, thus inaugurating a new milestone in the 85th anniversary of the Department and in the 50th anniversary of the Postgraduate Program in Social Work at PUC -Rio
