[pt] O presente estudo faz um breve resgate dos 85 anos da graduação e 50 anos da pós-graduação do Departamento de Serviço Social da PUC-Rio, além dos 25 anos da Revista O Social em Questão, com enfoque na interface com a política de assistência social. A metodologia adotada foi a análise documental do acervo do Departamento de Serviço Social da PUC-Rio: dissertações, teses e artigos da Revista O Social em Questão. A motivação foi identificar o debate presente sobre o tema no período e a contribuição para os avanços da política, partindo do pressuposto de que a contribuição é real.

[en] The present study makes a brief review of the 85 years of graduation and 50 years of postgraduate studies of the Department of Social Service at PUC-Rio, in addition to the 25 years of the Revista O Social em Questão, focusing on the interface with the social assistance policy. The methodology adopted was the documentary analysis of the collection of the Department of Social Service at PUC-Rio: dissertations, theses and articles from the magazine O Social em Questão. The motivation was to identify the current debate on the subject in the period and the contribution to the advances of the policy, based on the assumption that the contribution is real.
