[pt] Com base em uma compilação preliminar da literatura da área, este artigo oferece um panorama dos escritos acadêmicos referentes à Tradução Oral à Prima Vista (TrPV) a partir da segunda metade do século XX. São abordados, de forma sucinta, os tipos de pesquisa, os contextos em que tais estudos ocorrem e as novas frentes que se descortinam na investigação das múltiplas facetas da TrPV. O panorama aqui traçado objetiva realçar a relevância do tema no âmbito da prática profissional, na formação de intérpretes e, em menor medida, de tradutores, assim como fomentar a conscientização a respeito de um acervo especializado em processo de construção.
Resumo
[en] Based on a recent compilation of the literature in the area, this paper offers an overview of publications and academic texts on Sight Translation (STr) as from the second half of the 20th century. The different types of research, their context and the new horizons in the study of the multiple facets of STr are presented. The relevance of research on STr and its impact in terms of professional practice, interpreter training and, to a lesser extent, translator training are highlighted. This study also aims at raising awareness about a specialized field of investigation which is gaining momentum.
