[pt] Na interpretação teológica da Descida de Cristo à morada dos mortos vemos a possíbilidade de uma aplicação prática em vista práxis cristã. Os principais elementos contidos nesta reflexão teológica tentará apresentar a descida de Cristo aos infernos como um modelo para a atuação e práxis libertadora da Igreja. A ação de Cristo em descer à morada dos mortos revela a mesma iniciativa de Deus em se inserir na realidade latino-americana. Se Cristo pregou dando uma nova oportunidade àqueles que morreram, o cristão também pode pregar e anunciar a Boa-Nova de Cristo a todos os povos. Se Cristo foi solidário, mesmo após a morte com aqueles que morreram, a nossa solidariedade, a exemplo de Cristo, seria a nossa identificação com este Deus que se solidarizou com a humanidade tanto em corpo quanto em alma. É a descida de Cristo à mansão dos mortos que vem contribuir por uma práxis para a vida cristã em correspondência com a atuação de Jesus na realidade concreta de nossa sociedade latino-americana. Vemos que através de uma rica experiência histórica, cheia de luzes e de sombras na realidade latino-americana, a grande missão da Igreja a partir da Descida de Cristo à morada dos mortos.

[en] In the theological interpretation of the Descent of Christ to the abode of the dead we see the possibility of a practical application in view of Christian praxis. The main elements contained in this theological reflection will try to present the descent of Christ to hell as a model for the liberating action and praxis of the Church. The action of Christ in descending to the abode of the dead reveals the same initiative of God in inserting himself in the Latin American reality. If Christ preached giving a new opportunity to those who died, the Christian can also preach and announce the Good News of Christ to all peoples. If Christ was in solidarity, even after death, with those who died, our solidarity, like Christ, would be our identification with this God who showed solidarity with humanity both in body and in soul. It is the descent of Christ to the mansion of the dead that comes to contribute for a praxis for the Christian life in correspondence with the action of Jesus in the concrete reality of our Latin American society. We see that through a rich historical experience, full of lights and shadows in the Latin American reality, the great mission of the Church from the Descent of Christ to the abode of the dead.
