[pt] Este trabalho tem por objetivo fazer um estudo de caso com as Lojas Hilston, varejista sediada no Rio de Janeiro, fundada em 1965, atualmente conta com lojas em vários bairros da cidade, a maioria situada na zona oeste, tendo também uma unidade no centro. O propósito da pesquisa é compreender como a organização funciona e entender de que modo a análise de dados pode contribuir para a empresa, analisar benefícios e possíveis riscos de investir em Big Data. Com a finalidade de propor melhorias para os negócios das Lojas Histon e entender a importância dessas ferramentas em um mercado altamente competitivo como o varejo virtual. E buscar se aprofundar em algumas tecnologias relacionadas ao contexto do Big Data.
Resumo
[en] This work aims to do a case study with Lojas Hilston, a retailer headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, founded in 1965, currently has stores in various districts of the city, most located in the west side, also having a unit in the center. The purpose of the research is to understand how the organization works and understand how Data Analytics can contribute to the company, analyzing benefits and possible risks of investing in Big Data. In order to propose improvements for the businesses of Histon Stores and understand the importance of these tools in a highly competitive market such as virtual retail. And seek to delve into some technologies related to the context of Big Data.
