Resumo
[pt] O governo de Hugo Chávez representou mudanças intensas na política venezuelana, antes aprisionada no acordo de elites consolidado desde o Pacto de Punto Fijo, de 1958. Sua morte e o início do governo de Nicolás Maduro instigaram os mais variados debates sobre a continuidade ou não da Revolução Bolivariana e do próprio regime diante de uma série de mudanças nas conjunturas doméstica e internacional. Desse modo, o presente artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre as continuidades e rupturas do bolivarianismo na presidência de Nicolás Maduro. Para tal, discute-se as diferenças entre o chavismo e o bolivarianismo, buscando refletir sobre a atuação contemporânea de Maduro em relação ao legado deixado por seu antecessor, inscrito em um contexto mais isolado internacionalmente e com uma oposição fortalecida que atua, muitas vezes, para além da via institucional a fim de retirá-lo da presidência.
Resumo
[en] Hugo Chávez s government represented intense changes in Venezuelan politics, previously armored among political forces in a consolidated agreement since the Punto Fijo Pact of 1958. His death and the beginning of Nicolás Maduro s government raised debates about the continuity of the Bolivarian Revolution and the regime itself in the face of the new domestic and international situation. The article aims to raise a discussion about the continuity and ruptures of Bolivarianism after the succession of Chávez s political heir. Thus we recover a reflection on the differences between chavismo and Bolivarianism, aiming at reflecting on Maduro s performance in the legacy left by his predecessor, in a more isolated context internationally and with a strengthened opposition - often acting from outside the institutional path to remove him from the presidency.
