[pt] Este artigo resulta de uma pesquisa quantitativa, realizada com pouco mais de dois mil seminaristas católicos, brasileiros, em maio de 2020, seguindo-se uma segunda fase de pesquisa, de cunho qualitativo. Foram realizadas treze entrevistas semiestruturadas, com seminaristas das cinco regiões brasileiras, integrantes dos últimos anos do discipulado e configuração. A partir de suas narrativas, algumas articulações com autores contemporâneos foram estabelecidas. O objetivo central do trabalho era compreender como a dinâmica formativa dos seminaristas católicos foi, e continua sendo impactada pela pandemia de COVID-19, que afetou, claramente, o processo formativo vivido em nossos Seminários. A pandemia fez com que formandos e formadores repensassem muitas das configurações atuais da formação presbiteral. A crise sanitária fez com que voltássemos à questão da real necessidade dos Seminários e como pensá-los, no século XXI, vivendo a orientação da Igreja, através da Ratio Fundamentalis e da Igreja no Brasil, pelo Documento 110 (Diretrizes para a Formação dos Presbíteros da Igreja no Brasil).

[en] This current article is the result of a quantitative research conducted with just over two thousand Brazilian catholic seminarians in May 2020. After this period, a second research phase was elaborated, of a quantitative nature. That one comprised thirteen interviews semi-structured with seminarians from the five Brazilian regions, members of the last years of discipleship and confi guration. From their narratives, some articulation with contemporary authors were established. The central objective of this work was to understand how the formative dynamic of the catholic seminarians was and keeps being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has caused trainees and formators to rethink many of the current confi gurations of the priestly formation. The sanitary crises made us go back to the question of the real necessity of the seminaries and how to think them in the 21st century, living the Church s orientation through the Ratio Fundamentalis and the Church in Brazil, through the 110 Document (Guidelines for the Formation of Church Presbyters in Brazil).
