[pt] Objetiva-se neste artigo analisar a epistemologia da teologia da libertação, considerando os seus conceitos fundamentais e o respectivo debate, especialmente com o magistério eclesiástico. Justifi ca este objetivo o fato de que a teologia da libertação possui origem na theologia mundi do Concílio Vaticano II, acentua a imanência da transcendência da revelação, articulando a fé cristã com o locus histórico dos pobres, utiliza-se de mediações científicas, além de ter a filosofia como partner e promove uma ortopraxia denotativa da relação entre teoria teológica e práxis histórica libertadora. Por sua própria constituição epistemológica, em que se articulam fé e história, imanência e transcendência, teoria e práxis libertadora, a teologia da libertação é motivo de um debate epistemológico entre os próprios teólogos e de seus teólogos com o magistério eclesiástico, trazendo à tona algumas questões fundamentais: o uso das mediações da filosofia e das ciências, a opção pelos pobres e a questão sobrenatural no próprio complexo teológico libertador. Para atingir este objetivo, será apresentada uma definição de teologia da libertação e do debate com o magistério eclesiástico, acentuando os três pontos mencionados acima.

[en] The objective of this article is to analyze the epistemology of liberation theology, considering its fundamental concepts and its debate, especially with the ecclesiastical magisterium. This objective is justifi ed by the fact that liberation theology originates in the world’s theology of the Second Vatican Council, accentuates the immanence of the transcendence of revelation, articulating the Christian faith with the historical locus of the poor, uses mediations philosophy as a partner and promotes a denotative orthopraxia of the relationship between theological theory and liberating historical praxis. By its own epistemological constitution, in which faith and history, immanence and transcendence, liberating theory and praxis are articulated, liberation theology is the subject of an epistemological debate between theologians themselves and their theologians with the magisterium ecclesiastical, bringing up some fundamental questions: the use of the mediations of philosophy and sciences, the choice for the poor and the supernatural question in the liberating theological complex itself. To achieve this goal, a defi nition of liberation theology and debate with the ecclesiastical magisterium will be presented, highlighting the three points mentioned above.
