Resumo
[fr] In this interview, Peter Low (University of Canterbury, New Zealand) approaches his pathway through Translation Studies, particularly through his area of speciality: the translation of songs. He comments on his experience as a translator of songs and surtitler of operas, especially from the French tradition, and talks about the different aspects of his Pentathlon Principle, such as singability, sense, naturalness, rhythm, and rhyme. Finally, he also presents his distinctions between translations, adaptations and replacement texts.
