[pt] A homossexualidade é tema controverso e, certamente, um fato social que merece reflexões. Quando pensada a partir da comparação entre países diferentes e da possibilidade de relações entre pessoas dessas nações, o tema necessariamente precisa ser pensado a partir da perspectiva intercultural, aproveitando-se, para tanto, do aprendizado da segunda língua, no caso o Português como Língua de Acolhimento o PLAc. Tendo em vista que o Brasil, na última década, presencia um fluxo migratório considerável, destacando-se a presença de refugiados do Haiti e da Venezuela, em especial na região Norte do país, este texto presta-se à reflexão de como a questão é tratada nesses países, abordando pontos que possam implicar, a partir de referências legais e sociais, estranhamentos e/ou confluências no trato do assunto. As tratativas sobre a temática consideram a Interculturalidade como base fundamental, utilizando-se das contribuições da categorização das culturas, em Lewis (2006), da comparação cultural, em Hofstede (2011), bem como da comunicação intercultural em Bennett (1998). Afora isso, este artigo intenta discutir o papel da escola, bem como de outros organismos sociais, espaços onde a presença desses refugiados é significativa, na discussão dessa e de outras questões.

[en] Homosexuality is a controversial subject, and certainly a social fact that deserves reflections. When thinking about the comparison between different countries and the possibility of relations between people of these nations, the subject necessarily needs to be thought from the intercultural perspective, taking advantage, therefore, of learning the second language, in this case Portuguese as a Host Language. Considering that Brazil, in the last decade, has seen a considerable migratory flow, especially the presence of refugees from Haiti and Venezuela, especially in the northern region of the country, this text lends itself to the reflection on how the issue of homosexuality is treated in these countries, addressing points that may imply, from legal and social references, strangeness and / or confluence in the treatment of the subject. The discussions on the theme consider Interculturality as a fundamental basis, using the contributions of the categorization of cultures, in Lewis (2006), of cultural comparison, in Hofstede (2011), as well as intercultural communication in Bennet (1998). Aside from this, this article tries to discuss the role of the school, as well as of other social organisms, spaces where the presence of these refugees is significant, in the discussion of this and other questions.
