[pt] Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar parte de um projeto, ainda em desenvolvimento, acerca do ensino e da aprendizagem de português brasileiro como segunda língua para estrangeiros (PBL2) e de português brasileiro como língua estrangeira (BPFL). Esse projeto está sendo realizado por duas instituições de ensino superior, uma no Brasil, na Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), e a outra nos Estados Unidos, na San Diego State University (SDSU). O projeto propõe um objetivo geral, que é realizar um estudo comparativo e colaborativo relativo aos programas de ensino e aprendizagem do português em ambas as instituições, e um conjunto de objetivos específicos concernentes a características idiossincráticas baseadas nas diretrizes metodológicas que norteiam os programas das duas universidades. Apresentamos, aqui, apenas um extrato da pesquisa, que diz respeito ao levantamento e a análise preliminar dos dados realizados na SDSU, a partir de informações fornecidas por estudantes de nível básico e intermediário do português. Esse estudo de caso tem como embasamento teórico, investigações realizadas por Yin (2014), Barttlet e Vavrus (2017) e Figueiredo (2017).

[en] This article aims to present part of a project, still under development, on teaching and learning Brazilian Portuguese as a second language for foreigners (PBL2) and Brazilian Portuguese as a foreign language (BPFL). This project is being carried out by two higher education institutions, one in Brazil, at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), and the other in the United States, at San Diego State University (SDSU). The project has a general objective, which is to carry out a comparative and collaborative study related to Portuguese teaching and learning programs at embassies, as institutions, and several objectives related to idiosyncratic features applied to the methodological strategies that guide the programs of the two families. Here, we present only a research extract that concerns the survey and a preliminary analysis of data carried out at SDSU, based on data recorded by students of basic and intermediate level of Portuguese. This case study is based, theoretically, on studies carried out for Yin (2014), Barttlet and Vavrus (2017) and Figueiredo (2017).
