Resumo
[pt] Utilizar livros didáticos de português para estrangeiros é uma tarefa que requer atenção do professor de PL2E. De maneira geral, todo livro didático apresenta representações, quase sempre generalizantes e estereotipadas, daquilo que seria o Brasil ou que seriam os brasileiros, vendendo - literalmente - no exterior imagens que talvez sejam as primeiras ou as únicas que os estrangeiros terão com o país. Nossa proposta investiga o livro Novo Avenida Brasil, observando, a partir do modelo de categorização de cultura de Lewis (2006), qual representação de Brasil e de brasileiros é apresentada pelo material. Nossas análises indicam que a categorização de Lewis do Brasil como sendo uma cultura multiativa é reforçada no material.
Resumo
[en] Using textbooks from Portuguese to foreigners is a task that requires the attention of the PL2E teacher. In a general way, every textbook presents almost always generalizing and stereotyped representations of what Brazil would be or what Brazilians would be, selling - literally - on the outside images that may be the first or only that foreigners will have with the country. Our proposal investigates the textbook Novo Avenida Brasil, observing, from the model of culture categorization of Lewis (2006), which representation of Brazil and Brazilians are presented by the material. Our analyzes indicate that the categorization of Lewis of Brazil as being a multi-active culture is reinforced in the material.
