[pt] A embalagem possui um impacto significativo sobre o custo e a produtividade dentro dos sistemas logísticos, desta forma deve-se analisar em que meio o produto será inserido para que seu design permita não só a proteção do produto, mas também a facilidade de seu manuseio. Dentro da indústria o apelo de uma embalagem engloba processos como logística de armazenamento e inspeção do produto. Desta forma, é relevante desenvolver e revisar embalagens a partir das necessidades dos clientes a fim de agregar valor ao produto e ao pós-venda. O foco deste projeto é reduzir perdas em geral durante a inspeção de recebimento e sugerir uma revisão da embalagem para o fornecedor. Assim, o projeto baseia-se em um estudo de caso no qual tomou-se como exemplo um material utilizado nas plataformas de extração de petróleo e que possui certa dificuldade e complexidade na etapa de inspeção e, a partir dele, analisar quantitativa e qualitativamente os custos e riscos envolvidos, utilizando ferramentas de controle de qualidade, para chegar na solução proposta. Os resultados obtidos com o estudo e a opção de uma nova embalagem, que permita o acesso à peça sem que seja retirada da caixa, foram significativos. As perspectivas para a redução do custo, tempo e eliminação do risco para os inspetores e o produto foram obtidas com sucesso. A sugestão gera uma queda de aproximadamente 92 porcento do custo e uma redução de 33 porcento do tempo da inspeção.

[en] Packaging has a significant impact on cost and productivity within logistics systems. In this way it is necessary to analyze in which area the product will be inserted so that its design allows not only the protection of the product, but also an easily handling. Within the industry the appeal of a packaging encompasses processes such as warehouse logistics and product inspection. In this way, it is important to develop and revise packaging from the needs of customers in order to add value to the product and the after-sales. The focus of this project is to reduce overall losses during the receiving inspection and to suggest a review of the packaging for the supplier. Thus, the project consists in a case study in which an example of a material used in the oil extraction platforms has been used. It has a reasonable difficulty and complexity in the inspection stage and, from it, the costs will be analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively and also the risks involved using quality control tools to get the proposed solution. The results obtained with the study and the option of a new packaging that allows access to the piece without being removed from the box have been significant. The prospects for reducing the cost, time and risk elimination for the inspectors and the product have been successfully obtained. The proposed packaging generates a decrease of approximately 92 percent in cost and a 33 percent reduction in inspection time.
