Resumo
[pt] Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar os principais efeitos ópticos não lineares existentes numa fibra óptica, sendo esses o espalhamento Rayleigh, espalhamento de Brillouin, espalhamento Raman e Misturador de Quatro Ondas. Além disso, fazer uma revisão sobre fibra ópticas e características relevantes para sua utilização em sistemas de comunicação ópticos. Não obstante neste trabalho é feita uma revisão sobre as equações que regem a propagação de ondas eletromagnéticas e a solução dessas num guia de onda circular.
Resumo
[en] The objective of this work is to present the main nonlinear optical effects in an optical fiber, such
as Rayleigh scattering, Brillouin scattering, Raman scattering and Four Wave Mixer. In addition, make a
review on fiber optics and features relevant to their use in optical communication systems. Nevertheless
in this work a revision is made on the equations that govern the propagation of electromagnetic waves
and its solution in a circular wave guide.
