[pt] O trabalho discorre sobre a colocação de bibliotecários em serviços ligados à edição. O fabrico do livro exige uma equipe começando pelo autor, indo ao editor, designer, etc. A biblioteconomia exerce uma influência nesta fase. As editoras mostram-se receptivas à inclusão de fichas catalográficas e normalizações aos documentos. O ISBN facilita a circulação, divulgação e comercialização das obras. A biblioteconomia exerce sua função na produção de conhecimentos, facilitando a pesquisa e recuperação de informações. A ação do bibliotecário junto à edição verifica-se nas várias partes do livro. Folha de rosto, folha de créditos, sumário, índices e revisão do próprio texto incluem-se em tarefas para as quais o bibliotecário tem preparo. Manuais de informática como os da Itautec, fábrica de microcomputadores, incluem-se nesta regra. A inclusão em bibliotecas destes documentos facilita o uso e o entendimento da eletrônica. Os e-books mostram-se irreversíveis e a CBL tem comissão especial para o assunto.

[en] This work discours about the place for librarians in edition services. The making of a book desires a group beginning with the author, going to the editor, designer, etc. Library science influences this state of work. Editorial service is receptive to the work of librarians, with catalo graphic cards, normalization and universal bibliographic control. The ISBN makes easier circulation and commercialization of works. Library science executes its place in knowledge production and information retrieval. Action of librarians is in parts of the books. The front page, credit page, summary, index and revision of the text are parts of the work of librarian during the edition. Informatics handbooks, such as Itautec s, microcomputers factory, include this rule. The inclusion in libraries of these documents makes easier the use and understanding of electronics. CBL has a special commission for the normalization of the e-books, considered irreversible.
