[pt] A presente monografia discorre sobre o atual movimento de valorização do cabelo crespo, tendo como foco suas expressões na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. O estudo atenta para as relações raciais e ideologias racistas, no Brasil; aborda o corpo negro feminino, entendendo o cabelo do negro como um símbolo identitário. Além disso, analisa o recente processo de aceitação e exaltação do cabelo crespo, traço fenotípico que passa a ser positivado. A pesquisa apresenta um panorama sobre o movimento de orgulho crespo na mencionada cidade, enfatiza a transição capilar e a atuação das influenciadoras digitais, em meio eletrônico. A análise de conteúdos divulgados nas mídias digitais revela, portanto, a sua importância.
Resumo
[en] This study discusses the current appreciation of curly hair, focusing on its expression and emphasizing its racial and ideological relations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.It was considered how the black female body takes into account the contact with black hair as an identity symbol. In addition, it analyzes the last process of acceptance and exaltation of curly hair, a phenotypic trait that has been recognized as positive. The research presents an overview of the movement of acceptance and pride in curly hair and the attitudes of the city s population, emphasizing the gradual transition towards this hair style and the influence of the media especially digital. Analyses of the content of the digital media has revealed the importance of this issue.
